The bestseller, our sheet piles from Belval!

ArcelorMittal Belval is our largest site in Luxembourg. Its facilities allow activities from the optimal and essential recycling of metals for a more sustainable production to the pre-products sent to other sites of the Group and to the finished products such as sheet piling, in the category of long steels mainly used in construction.

Aqueduct Veluwemeer – Netherlands

This aqueduct is an impressive work of civil engineering that allows sailboats, oars and also marine animals to move on either side of the lake of the same name over a 25-meter long stretch of road. This achievement was made possible thanks to our sheet piles straight out of Mill 2 at the ArcelorMittal site in Belval. Sheet piles are designed to be interlocked in order to create completely watertight walls. This sealing answers perfectly to the upcoming challenges in terms of mobility (tunnels, bridges, canals, etc.) or territorial protection, particularly in case of flooding.

Go higher with our beams from Differdange!

If we told you that the highest skyscrapers in the world were from Differdange, would you believe it? It does! The architects of the tallest buildings have all chosen ArcelorMittal Differdange to design the beams intended to go ever higher.

Burj Khalifa – Dubaï

More than 3000 tons of steel Made in Luxembourg were supplied to the highest skyscraper ever made based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For this structural work, ArcelorMittal Differdange supplied HISTAR® steel beams. HISTAR® grades combine high strength with excellent toughness at low temperatures and exceptional weldability when these properties were considered incompatible.

One World Trade Center – New-York

Also known as the Freedom Tower, the One Word Trade Center has a very special place in the history of the Differdange site. After the attacks of September 11, 2001, the city of New York quickly took the decision to launch the construction of a new skyscraper which would pay tribute to the twin towers and to the victims and which would be a new emblem of the city and of the Freedom. For this pharaonic realization, ArcelorMittal Differdange received an order for 12,500 tons of steel, including its famous "Jumbo Beams" which were nicknamed "Freedom Beams" in reference to the second name of One World Trade Center.

The One World Trade Center has succeeded in being an iconic monument of New York, and today it is the 4th tallest building in the world.
