Reducing the environmental footprint of vehicles

ArcelorMittal launched new S-in motion® solutions in 2016 using ultra high strength steels such as Usibor® 1500, produced in particular by our Dudelange site, to further extend the range of lightweight steels. Modules are now available for average-sized sedan cars as well as SUVs. These enable car manufacturers to save between 20% and 26% on the weight of a vehicle’s structure compared to standard models.
