Bettembourg, December 17th 2021 – ArcelorMittal and CFL cargo announce the reinforcement of their partnership by signing a new contract to increase the railway services between ArcelorMittal production sites in Luxembourg and the goods transport across Europe.
By signing this agreement, ArcelorMittal and CFL cargo reaffirm their successful partnership, dating back to the creation of CFL cargo in 2006. The services covered by the related contracts include the transport of raw materials to the main production sites in Luxembourg, the internal transport between and on these production sites and the shipment of finished long products in Europe via the single wagonload network. The provision of the adapted wagon fleet for the transport of long steel products including the repair and maintenance services are also part of the agreement.
Both partners are convinced that this cooperation will further push rail solutions that help cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
