ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg just published its sustainable development report, it covers its actions carried out as part of its CSR strategy and shows its progress during 2019.

It is in a particular context which gives full meaning to ArcelorMittal Luxembourg's commitment to the deployment of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) strategy that the experts have gathered and analyzed in recent months all the results obtained for the year 2019 in terms of Sustainable Development.

Beyond the continuation and professionalization of the approach initiated several years ago, 2019 was marked by notable achievements.

An important partnership has been concluded with the LIST (Luxembourg Institute of Science & Technology) for a period of five years. The research field is part of ArcelorMittal's transition process towards a circular economy and circular steel production, with, in particular, research and development of projects and innovative services in the fields of improving energy efficiency and responsible use of resources.

Another major moment of the year, which illustrates the consistency of the CSR strategy over the duration of ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg, the renewal for a period of three years of support for the University's “ArcelorMittal Construction Métallique” Chair, dedicated to enhance the efficiency and durability of steel constructions. Here again, this partnership testifies to ArcelorMittal's desire to be part of the circular economy through steel solutions allowing the dismantling and reuse of these parts once a building has reached the end of its life cycle.
