ESR label: renewed with success!
ArcelorMittal successfully renewed its ESR label (Socially Responsible Enterprise), awarded on November 30 by the INDR (National Institute for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility).
In 2015, ArcelorMittal was assessed to get the newly revamped label, which thoroughly reviews each company’s sustainable development strategy, governance, and the social and environmental impacts of its activities. Recommendations and an improvement plan, based on the results of the audit carried out by independent experts, were then given to us.
Three years later, our company has improved on key points - strategy and environmental management - given the complexity of our organization and the nature of our impacts. During the ceremony held in Luxembourg City at the Chamber of Commerce, Valérie Massin - country manager ArcelorMittal Luxembourg - presented a best practice: the materiality analysis. This was conducted to prioritize ArcelorMittal’s sustainable development challenges at local level, specific to Luxembourg. See you now in three years, with new progress to share!
