ResponsibleSteel™, deployment of the Sustainable Development Europe program

ArcelorMittal announced in 2019 its intention to roll out a new Sustainable Development program across Europe. The program will enable each site to prove that its processes’ organization meet rigorously defined standards across the wide range of social, environmental and governance criteria that make up the ResponsibleSteel ™ standard. This certification is awarded by an independent body.

The start of this certification project on the ArcelorMittal Belval, Differdange and Rodange sites started in 2020 and will continue in 2021.
