Official partner of the ENIM 2024 class!
I was very happy and honored to represent ArcelorMittal Long Products Luxembourg during this Graduation Ceremony for the new ENIM Engineers, in the Arsenal Hall in Metz. This moment was very emotional for me, since 21 years ago (already), I was at their place, in this same room, and this memory is still fresh in my mind.
Fabien Commere, COO ArcelorMittal Long Products Luxembourg.
As sponsor of the promotion, Fabien Commere was able to award diplomas to students in the following specialties:
- Behavioral management of corporate safety
- Innovate and Entrepreneurship
- Quality and Continuous Improvement
With a strong relationship for several years with ENIM, the Luxembourg sites welcome around ten students each year in their operational departments (production, maintenance, supply chain, etc.), whether for their internship or for their final study project.
The PROTEC program
This partnership with ENIM is part of the PROTEC program, initiated in 2023 within the Long Product Europe segment and allowing students throughout Europe to discover ArcelorMittal, by increasing our attractiveness and offering, through internships, to participate in concrete projects.
This year was a real success on this subject for Long Products Luxembourg because we were able to welcome and train a total of 35 interns from engineering schools in France and Belgium. They were all able to contribute to exciting projects, such as the optimization of industrial water resources, the study of production flows, the optimization of the traceability of our semi-finished products or even studies on the wear of our rolling cylinders. We were also proud to hire one of our interns after a very successful internship period. Indeed, Théo Verbrugge joined the Technology LPL team on October 1st.
Gautier Billot, Head of Leadership development LPL
Through this partnership, we continue to show our commitment to training future talents and highlight possible careers in the steel industry.
I was pleased to see that the number of young female graduates has increased significantly over the last 20 years. We are not yet at perfect parity, which is why I believe it is essential that, through the candidates we select for internships in companies, we actively participate in promoting the industry to young women so that more and more of them choose these exciting careers.
Fabien Commere, COO ArcelorMittal Long Products Luxembourg.
We wish these young graduates every success!
