Our impressive beam in the heart of LUGA

ArcelorMittal Luxembourg, through its Foundation, is providing a beam manufactured in Differdange for the temporary “Water Forum” installation of the LUGA festival (Luxembourg Urban Garden) which will be held from May 7 to October 8, 2025.

A facility committed to the decontamination of the Alzette

Designed by the architectural firm 2001, "Water Forum" aims to revitalize the Alzette Valley by offering an experimental water purification garden, while serving as a platform for exchange and reflection.
In support of this initiative, ArcelorMittal Foundation Luxembourg is providing an HL 1100 B beam made of XCarb™ steel from renewable and recyclable sources, produced in Luxembourg.
A central element of the installation, this beam will support a natural water purification system, composed of an assemblage of plants and rocks, connecting the Alzette River to a recovery basin.
At the end of the exhibition, in an eco-responsible and circular approach, the beam will be reused or recycled to give it a second life.

Exceptional logistics

After being produced, rolled, finished and painted at ArcelorMittal’s facilities in Differdange, the beam left the Steligence premises on Thursday, March 6, by special convoy before being installed the following morning.
